You can help!
Your donation to the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center ensures that hundreds of youths in South Los Angeles have a safe and caring afterschool program where they are taught to excel in their academics, to improve their physical conditions, and to graduate from high school and go on to higher learning.
How Your Donations Help:
- Educational materials for our homework assistance and reading, writing, math and science labs
- Tutoring for a child having trouble performing at grade level
- Street Soldiers gang prevention and life skills training for middle school youth
- Materials for college-prep electives such as world languages and robotics
- SAT preparation books and materials for our CollegeTrack program
- Software and supplies for our computer lab and office
- Equipment, supplies and transportation for our recreation activities and field trips
- Gas and vehicle maintenance for our transportation from local schools to the center
- General operating support for the center
